Ram box

I’m trying to build a 2025 Longhorn on the website but I don’t see an option to delete the ram box bed. Apparently it comes standard on limited and limited longhorns now. How can I buy one with the regular bed?

Correct, on the Limited and Tungsten trims with a 5'7" bed you HAVE to get Ram boxes. The only way to get without is to get the 6'4" bed.

That’s stupid. Sometimes I swear Ram is trying to put themselves out of business. The 5’7” bed is already short and the Ram boxes don’t make up enough of the lost room inside the bed.
I did talk to a dealer and he said they can order one without the ram boxes but from what he’s seeing within a 650 mile radius of Louisiana, one without them isn’t out there.

I have a different take… I wish the 6’4” was available with Ram Boxes, I would’ve ordered one, had them on my 15 limited with the longer bed.
I’m curious, with a 5/7 bed, you’re already putting the tailgate down for 6 foot tables, 2x4s, etc.
Have you any first hand experience with the ram boxes?
How/what do you use the bed for, in a 5’7 foot truck bed, to where that space above, behind and in front of the wheel wells is that critical?

I’m a Ram Box proponent, love their versatility and use mine. Have you tried/owned a truck with them?

We can argue the merits of the Ramboxes forever, the issue is not about their usefulness, it's about them not being optional.
Opinions will always vary but the very last thing I want or need in a luxury truck is a toolbox embedded in the side. This is an absolutely stupid decision to make this standard in this class and is a deal breaker for me. I don't care for the look and it's not that I don't need the functionality but rather I run an aluminum bed cover with a 2000lb rating that makes them unusable anyways.

After owning and loving the features of two RWD Limited's, I'm looking at the RHO for my next RAM, mostly to get away from the damn Ramboxes. I don't want or need a 4x4 either but the RHO currently checks the most boxes for me. Even if I stuck with the Limited, I'd be forced into the H/O and 4x4 as well so I may as well drive a 4x4 that looks like one.

Gotta say…you made good points. Part personal opinion, part functionality..
Appreciate your perspective.

My opinion… compared to yours. You view them as a toolbox on a luxury truck.
I view them as external storage…that I don’t have to open my tailgate for or worry about if it’s been rolling around the bed… its secure and easily accessible.
I get lots of comments and cool/wow factor comments on them as well as the MFT.

Like I said, appreciate your opinions and perspective! And I agree overall, they should ALWAYS be an option. If they were an option on 6’4” beds, I would’ve special ordered one or found one with them.

I agree that they should offer them as a choice. I'd be equally upset if you couldn't get them on a Limited. You always could drop down to a Laramie if you want the short bed without the Rambox option. You're not forced to get the Rambox option, you can get them in 2WD, and it comes with the SO Hurricane engine (unlike the RHO).

You can NOT get/order the RHO in RWD. It's a 4WD truck all day long!!!! Similar to the TRX, they were all 4WD.
