I have Ben looking for new truck and looked into the new 2025 Tungsten as it had everything I was looking for. All the research I did and articles I read indicated the Park Assist feature was standard equipment on the Tungsten. Sooo, I found one and purchased it last Monday not specifically looking to see if the Park Assist feature was there and got home only to find no such feature on my new truck. Every single article I read says it a standard feature on the Tungsten. Any thoughts or anyone have a similar experience and what remedy would be expected? Thanks! Dave

Your truck doesn't beep at you when you get close to something in the front or back? Or are you confusing it with semi-auto park for parallel and perpendicular parking. If it is that one, there should be a button on the upper-right of the screen that has a "P" and steering wheel on it.

Also, you should post in the appropriate area and not under the new user area. You will get better help.

Thanks! I’m new so not familiar with where to post. To answer your question, it’s the parking assist that will parallel park for you that is missing. Thanks!

Is it on your build sheet? And to confirm, you don't have the button that I mentioned?

Bought this off the lot. Not on window sticker if that’s what you mean by build sheet. And there is no button. I had this feature on truck I traded so I I know what to look for.

That sucks. I looked on the website and it's not an option. But it shows the button in the picture.

Hi Dave! The same thing happened to me. I think we should start a class action lawsuit for false advertising the auto park feature.

On Rams website it shows it as a standard feature and mentions nothing about late ability like other features. It’s not an option when you build the Tungsten because it’s implied that it’s standard on this trim level

In the same boat here. I'm not overly concerned about it as I can park the truck just fine, but the wife is very uncomfortable driving a full size truck and would love that option. One of the reasons we went with the Tungsten trim level is that is was advertised as standard. Even the things they adjusted to late availability were advertised as standard when I ordered my truck. Off the top of my head.....

Automated Park Assist
Trailer Surround View
Phone as key

I still can live without APS & TSV but I really want Phone Key. I wish Tungsten could offer Auto Hold.

So, I was just poking around Ram's website. While it shows park assist as standard on the Tungsten, if you look just on the specification tab, it says Park Assist is a late availability feature. Considering the 25 model year hasn't been on the streets for very long, that may explain lack of the feature.

I too can park just fine, but I have teen drivers. One of the reasons I went ahead with the purchase was specifically for auto parking for them. I have had no luck with the dealer and have been working hard to get Ram Care to come up with a solution. So far Ram Care has been less than helpful.

Kinda weird it would be a late availability feature as it has been a common feature in prior year models. Hell, my 2019 Laramie has Park Assist.

You're 2019 will parallel park itself?

My 2020 Limited would park itself in parallel or perpendicular parking spots. I had to operate the brakes and transmission, but it would steer itself into the parking spots. I just never trusted it so I only used it fiddling around to see if it worked, and it did. My 2025 Limited does not have that function.

I haven’t tried it on my truck yet, I watched some videos on YouTube. Takes way too long IMO, I can park in one shot. Get your wife in the drivers seat and guide her, my wife would panic when trying to back in until she practiced it a few times in our driveway. Now she only backs into parking spaces.

Yep, it will parallel park or back into a parking spot.
I did not realize it was available in 2019. as far as the late availability statement I made, I was only going off the Ram website info.

This kind of thing has been pretty normal since covid supply change disruptions. My 23 Laramie had the self park feature but was missing lots of other things my 21 Laramie had. Now my 25 Laramie has lots of new options but a few missing like this. It is not a matter of whether they tech exists but rather if they can source the parts. Smartphone as a key is finally starting to roll out on new trucks and OTA update for older 2025's as an example. Long story short it takes a lot of research and time to make sure you know what is and is not available on an order or truck on the lot and you have to always verify with the build sheet or physical truck. Once you realize it is not there you're out of luck unless it was a selected option on your order and shows on the build sheet.

All good but I've never actually trusted mine enough to use it 😂
