I forgot to mention that my parking sensor actually froze over while out on those trails that day (my guess). This kept the truck from knowing it was in Park. The whole underside of my truck was basically an ice block and I suspect there is a physical sensor on the exterior of the transmission that senses park that got encased in ice. This basically kept me from idling the truck unless I was inside of it with my foot on the brake. Also kept the remote start from working.

Once everything melted off the truck it was back to normal.

So just a heads up.

It does, but there is no skid plate for the transmission.
