The Ram 1500 Classic returns for the 2022 model year and an initial look at dealer ordering guides detail some additions and deletions for the new year. Once again, buyers will choose Regular, Quad, or Crew Cab in two-wheel-drive (4×2) and four-wheel-drive (4×4) configurations. Regular cabs will be available with the 6’4 bed or 8′ bed, Quad Cabs will have the 6’4 bed, and Crew Cabs will be available with the 5’7 or 6’4 bed.

What is the appeal of the classic? I could never really wrap my head around why somebody would want to stay with “old” styling. I get why RAM does it, but I’m talking about from a consumer perspective.

I think it’s mostly for work trucks

Hopefully they stick with the old AC system as it actually works properly.

$$$$$

You can buy 4 classics or 3 (maybe 2 if they're plush) DTs. That's important when you're talking fleets.

Because you can get a really nice brand new truck for a fraction of the price

Yeah but they normally discount them more at the dealers
I bought my truck last December, at $34,900 , 2018 Night w/ 24k miles. The 2019 used model was at $38k. Almost $5k difference at the table is a difference. The 2019 was fairly stock, no big screen, or sunroof, or any major bells. As we all know, the night editions come with plenty. So its what really sold me. As of now, I like this body style more, but the technology inside the 5th gen is amazing.
