Has anyone used the units that are built into the truck? I know their pricy, $1k and up, but some of my friends with Ferrari’s and Lambos say their great.

Can someone please tell me how to get the Waze App to run with apple car play and Uconnect 8.4". I am guessing most of you are android users with waze app ?

are you using the charge cable? the iphone has to be connected via cable, then carplay should pop up as a selection on the bottom of the screen.

iPhone must be up current on OS update and plugged in with lightning cable.

for radar detectors i run a Beltronics RX65, it is an older unit but works for very well for me in my travels. i too use the waze app.

i hope soon there will be a OTA update to allow me to use carplay without having to plug in that dang cord!

Check out radar busters com for some pretty good info. I have run Escort products for years and they are great. Just make sure whatever you get has good K band filtering. I beileve that is what all the newer cars use for the mirror warnings.
