I Read all the posts about hard wiring in a fuzz buster in these trucks. And mounting with the mirror bracket (wasn't crazy about that)

I went the cordless route. Got a Solo S3.

I got a windshield mount bracket off of eBay, and "bent" the bracket to conform to the rear view mirror plastic cover. I attached it with 2 sided tape and 2 screws (that go into a metal j-clip on the inside)

It sits level, and it's solid. And no wires at all. Just 2 AA batteries that are holding up very good over the last month in a half of use. Easy to detach and switch vehicles. Just sharing what I did.

I have had the 3 for years and still use it in another vehicle and put the 4 in the Rebel. Great idea on the install. When I saw how hollow that big plastic housing was, that’s one of the ways I was gonna mount as well. Good job.

I originally looked at the 4, but read a lot of reviews of people saying they liked the 3 better. Whats your opinion on both? I definetly like the looks of the 3 more.

Buttons on 3 don’t rattle which drives me nuts with the 4. However the 4 doesn’t false nearly as much as the 3. My research revealed there was really no difference between the two other than some horn design change and programming.
