I am looking for feedback from previous owners of a Limited that had 20 inch tires who moved on to the Tungsten with 22’s. I understand the seats are quite different but was there a noticeable difference in the ride comfort between the two? I am in the decision making process for a ‘26 Limited or Tungsten and am hung up on the Tungsten 22’s. I have read many comments here and on Reddit but I thought folks with direct experience of the two rides could provide some valuable input. My only Ram thus far has been a 2019 Classic which I thought had a pretty good ride. I will appreciate all input.

I had a 19 limited with 20”…2021 Limited with 22”…now have 25 Tungsten with 22”…no noticeable differences….all three are smooth!……..O H…

My '21 Limited came with 22s.

My '25 Limited came with 22s.

Both had/have Night package.
Not to thread jack, but it is about ride quality as well.

-How does the 2025 compare to your 2021 as far as ride quality? I read somewhere they tweaked the air ride for the 2025s. Curious if it rides any different?

-Also, how does road and wind noise compare between the two?

-Lastly, how do you like the Hurricane HO compared to the HEMI? I know they're smooth and rockets, but curious what your thoughts were.

I can also PM you if that's easier!

The two exact trucks I'm considering. I'm weird with what I like, but here were my personal pros/cons. @Buckeye, curious what you like better about each truck and why you're stuck between the two? Thanks for sharing!

Tungsten
Pros over Limited:
-Better seats with more adjustments (more ways adjustable, power headrests) and more massage settings
-Even better stereo
-Even nicer leather
-Even nicer trim
-Cost is only marginally more than a loaded Limited with the Midnight Package *If you want all the stuff and don't mind the look of the Tungsten trim/wheels and unique front bumper and also the interior color, it almost seems like a better deal than a loaded Limited

Cons vs Limited:
-Can't get Midnight Package
-Have to get the moonroof
-Worried the light colored leather will get dirty and be hard to keep nice
*Doesn't apply to me because I like the short bed, but if you want the long bed, not happening with the Tungsten

Limited
Pros over Tungsten:
-Can order without the sunroof I don't want
-Midnight Package
*Doesn't apply to me because I like the short bed, but if you want the long bed, not happening with the Tungsten
-Dark interior *Much easier to clean

Cons vs Tungsten:
-Cost nearly as much as a Tungsten when optioned with the Midnight Package and you don't get as many options/not as nice seats, stereo etc. *If you want all the stuff and don't mind the look, it almost seems like a better deal than a loaded Limited
-Not as nice of seats
-Not as nice of interior
-Not as nice of stereo

For me, while I really want the Tungsten seats, I don't want to have to keep them clean, I don't want the sunroof and I like the front bumper of the Limited better...so I'm leaning toward a Limited with the Midnight Package...but a fully loaded Tungsten for not much more is very tempting!

I've had neither a Limited nor Tungsten, yet my experience may be of value to you. My '22 Laramie GT is loaded, so weight-wise probably similar to equivalent. Mine came with 22" wheels, which I have used as my Summer tires while swapping to my 20" for the Winters. My 20" whl/tire combo weighs 6 lbs more than the factory 22s, and the ride is noticeably better with the 20s. So much so that this Summer I decide just to leave the 20s on.

Thank you for the detailed response. The main thing I have always liked about the Tungsten has been the upgraded 24 way seats and Klipsch stereo. My wife and I have always valued seat and ride comfort over about everything else in a car or truck. The Limited seats and H-K stereo are very good but not quite on a level with the Tungsten. The main draw for the Limited was the 20 inch tires. The main drawback for the Tungsten was the 22 inch tires. I became overly concerned I would be sacrificing ride comfort for the upgraded seats.

After reading everyone’s comments and taking a test drive in a Tungsten and Limited, we’ve decided the Tungsten is the truck we are going to order. I tend to sometimes get a case of analysis paralysis when making a decision on a new vehicle but this forum and knowledge shared by the members has helped to get me past that.

Thank you and all others who responded.

Thanks. Do you have air suspension on your truck?

Sell or trade the 22s once you get the truck in.

20s and 22s take offs are often for sale on here or Facebook marketplace.
