Love the truck but would like to increase the sound just a tad but do not want to put a lot of money into a cat back system. Can I just buy a Borla touring muffler and just replace my stock muffler with it? I thought of a flowmaster but do not want a loud exhaust where I get a drone in the cab.

Here's a magnaflow 14" muffler welded on. Catback cost way to much imo.

Flowmaster has many different levels of performance mufflers with different sound levels. I replaced my stock Ram muffler with an inexpensive Flowmaster Super 40 and really like the sound. I left the stock dual pipes and resonators on that control the drone.

The sound is now great and a nice deep rumble when you unleash the Hemi. You can hear the engine exhaust rumble while you drive but not loud and when you step on the gas it does get louder but not obnoxious.

It really increases the enjoyment in driving my new Ram.

There are many options for just muffler replacement which is stainless steel to match factory exhaust. With that replacement and keeping resonators on many pleased with sound and lack of drone. Also some intake options for intake growl to add little noise.

Best bang for buck hemi sound seems to be muffler replacement only and carbon filter removal with drop in high flow filter for some intake growl.

Flowmaster Outlaw is a little too aggressive for me. The FlowFX is toned down a little and also available in a direct fit system like the Outlaw. My Flowmaster Super 40 muffler is probably a little quieter but doesn't come in the direct bolt on system, I bought the muffler alone with in/out offsets and added a piece of SS exhaust pipe and clamps to fit and no pipe bending

You used banned clamps? You have any pics. Just curious, as I was thinking of going down that route myself to save a few $$
