Hi all

I went to look at my new 2022 Ram 1500 eco diesel today and noticed while idling with engine compartment open there was a venting of small puffs of smoke.

Looking at the Motor from the Hood it was on right front near a few valves. It appears to be sometype of vent.

It's my 1st Diesel Truck is this normal as the dealer stated ???

I have no idea what smoke would ever be considered normal when coming out of vents. What exactly did the dealer say? A good first step is to try another dealer.

Truck was custom ordered by me and have waited a long time.
Drove great no engine lights 15miles on the odometer.
It was more of a Vapor puffing out of a Vent line just have never seen this B4 asked dealer to send to service to see what's going on.
Supposed to pick her up on Tues if this isn't an issue.

It might be just a little spilled oil burning off from the assembly process.

Update

Dealer called said a Vent line sensor clip was broken. He had to replace the sensor and all is correct at this point.

Looking forward to taking this Truck up to my Mtn home.

Thanks again 4 all your inputs
