PSA - Toyo AT3 backorder

I didn't see any lingering threads from searching, so I thought I would drop a notice here. I Just tried ordering 285/75r18 and 295/70r18 Toyo AT3s from discount tire. Both are on backorder direct from Toyo with no expected arrival date. Not sure if anyone else is considering getting a set of AT3's, but if you are, maybe get on the list a while. I'll keep this thread posted with the time lines as I get info. If anyone else has been waiting, it would be great to know how long.

For anyone who cares, I got an update from discount tire. They said the tires are expected in 6 months from Tokyo. I suggest anyone looking for these tires get on the list ahead of time.

When I was shopping for tires back in May, the manager at Discount told me that this could happen. I took his advice and bought my wheels and tires before my truck came in for fear of waiting a long time if I didn't. Glad I did.

I just ordered my AT3s for the same reason. Distributor had 12 left and didn't want to risk waiting for my truck. I ordered 305/45/22. OP, I looked for your sizes just to see, no luck.

It looks it depends on your tire size. I ordered mine last week and just got them put on my truck today. 285/45r22. Apparently, this size is pretty rare for the AT3 but seems like there's less of an issue getting them?

Definitely could be. I’m calling around Monday to see if anyone has a few I can cobble together. I just can’t find another tire I like better than these.

Insanely smooth. That's all I have to say. Didn't expect them to be this smooth but the work they did on the treads compared to the AT2s are worlds apart. My buddy has the new Grappers and they are DEFINITELY louder than the AT3s, not sure how it's a debate... at least that's my 2 cents .

I really like the AT3's but in a 305/55R20 they are 14lbs heavier per tire than the Ridge Grapplers. That would be a big hit on gas mileage and ride. I wish Toyo would offer more non-LT tires like their sister company Nitto. My Ridge Grapplers may be a little louder but the ride is almost as smooth as the highway princess tires that came on my truck.

Anyone looking for this size, custom offsets carries them and price matches. They have 90 coming in stock (30 spoken for) on aug 21st.
