Long story short - I brought my truck in to the dealership to fix a part that was installed incorrectly from the factory, and got my truck back with two additional problems....sigh.

One of these problems you can see from the attached photos. They didn't seat the half shaft completely! Thank God I haven't taken this thing off road since, or really done much of anything other than commuting.

Can anyone help me with the procedure to properly seat this? There is a few mm's of play in it, but by the looks of the o-ring I am wondering how to fix this...do I just take the wheel off and bang on the end?
I don't want to take it to the dealership (even though its under warranty) because they have shown complete incompetence and unreliability and quite frankly I'm just tired of trusting others.

Much appreciated!

Wish I could help you - though @RamCares should realize what size lawsuit that dealership is leaving on the table with their incompetence...wow. And I thought my steering rack being crooked (still is) was an issue

See if you can find some DIY instructions for lift kits. They should help you figure out what is required to get it fully seated.
