Hoping someone can point in the right direction.
A year or more ago, I added passive entry to my 2019 Bighorn. It has worked flawless since.
Recently, I noticed when I get and shut the drivers door, the lock button on the outside handle doesn’t work unless I press it a second time. My hand is not on the sensor. The passenger doesn’t seem to behave this way.
Once that initial click, wait a second, click and it locks, is done, i can click that lock button and it will lock everytime.
It just seems like when I’m first getting out of the truck?

I have replaced the fob battery, tried a second fob, did some bs procedure about locking with the button inside, then using fob to unlock or something.

Just wondering if anyone has had this and what they did to solve it before I start throwing parts and pieces at it.

Sounds like a bad button on the door handle. Guess you could try switching the handles around or replacing it. Another option is cleaning around the button with a q-tip and alcohol. It could just be sticking. I've had this happen on game controllers.

I’ll definitely try to clean it first but it seems too consistent to be a failing button.

Works perfectly right now… everytime I click it, horn sounds. But if i open the door, then close it, the first press does nothing.
