power tow mirrors vs power fold mirrors

Did a search and couldn't exactly find the answer i was looking for. Do the tow mirrors extend? they also rotate 90 degrees to give a taller picture of behind you correct? also are any of those features controlled from the inside other than the folding option? Do you need a different drivers window switch? Are there computer issues and program issues after installing power tow mirrors?

Tow mirrors do not extend out, but they do rotate manually to give you the taller visual. If you truck already as power folding mirrors, you won' t need a new switch but if you don't program the truck and add the tow mirror option, when your mirrors are rotated up, your mirror controls will think they are in the 'normal' position so your adjusting arrow keys will be off. You can use AlphaOBD to make this change. Also the note, the OE tow mirrors have the auxiliary reverse lights so you will need to change out the door module in order for those to work. The OE tow mirrors have aux reverse lights? so the location of those change when you rotate the mirror up?

They are located on the frame of the mirrors so not part of the mirror that rotates up.
