Traded a 16' Laramie Long Bed Crew Cab Dually with 48k on the clock for a 19' Limited with 59k. Picked up a MaxCare Warranty for a decent price (very glad I did) as the gremlins began to appear. First was the AC debacle.... I could blow colder air with a couple of ice cubes in my mouth - lol. Got that fixed and while the truck was at the dealer I told them about the power step motors screeching, and at times the steps not wanting to come out right away. They replaced the motors, and no more noise. They said they couldn't get get the steps to recreate the "stall" in deploying the steps and returned the truck to me. The Next morning I went out to get into the truck and it took about 4-5 seconds for the drivers side step to deploy - I shut the door called the dealer back and said this has to be taken care of, and on the same ticket as the $200.00 deductible I just paid for the previous work. They said "bring it back in, and we'll have another look". I took it back and they ended up putting in two new modules for the the power steps. They called me, and said it was ready and that the work was added to the previous ticket that went to warranty. Guess what? the steps still have a mind of their own! Anyone ever have this experience and get this resolved? Please let me know what the fix was. I have had six back surgeries and three times the steps have almost caused me to either trip or fall. Thanks.
