Hello all,
I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited that has the power running boards. Ram failed when not putting lights on for these so I purchased a LED strip from LEDGLOW that has the courtesy lights “white” as well as the amber running lights / turn signal indicator.
Wondering if anyone has install this type of setup and could provide best area’s to tap into ?

Interested in this as well, but unless I hear something different, I'm going to run the wires up through a body plug and into the footwell lights that turn on when you unlock the doors.

Are you guys referring to led strips on the bottom of the rocker that illuminate when the step deploys? Or light "courtesy lamps" under the board itself to illuminate the ground
below?

Aftermarket LED strips that you mount on each rocker that illuminate "amber" when the running lights are on, Flash "Amber" when your turn signal is on and "White" when the steps are deployed.

I'm interested in this as well for just lighting up the foot step. Going to see what I come up with for that.

Got a Pic of your truck with that leveling kit? looking to send a leveling kid to my buddies Shop as i drive home with my truck and throw one on as soon as i get back to my hometown... Hopefully next month, 2" pretty much removes the rake, does it still feel Level when your pulling a trailer?
off topic, i know. wonder if there is a way to power the board lights synced to when the board deploys and retracts

Yeah I think I have a few. Let me go through my phone and post what I can find.

It all depends on tongue weight of course. I have about 3/4-1" of rake left. I think it's just perfect for me. I also put leveling bags inside my springs so it doesn't sag past that and it's amazing!

Here you go.

Exactly my plan for boat hauling in the Summer months! Thanks for the info it looks great!

The steps are going to block the strips when they're in the stowed position, so having the running lights activated will be pointless. I put LED strips on mine when I put my AMP steps on. Since the AMP kit comes with lights, I just used those power sources for my LED strips - they only come on when the door is opened. I have installed others for other guys and tapped into the footwell lights. Very simple to do.
