I have a 2019 1500 Laramie package. The running boards suddenly aren’t working. I can hear a motor when I press the deploy/retract button in settings but the don’t work. Drivers side stuck deployed and passenger side is nested.

Where to start? Weather has been bad so haven’t had a chance to get to deep into it.

TIA

I’d check all hinge and pivot points for possible debris or blockage followed by verifying the fuse.

Try some WD40 Quick Drying silicone spray. The power steps don’t like cold a snow/salt. The hinges will bind up and the motors will seize eventually if you live in a snowy climate.

Give it a help with your foot when it retracts. If it goes up with help it is likely time to rebuild. If it won’t budge with help, something is likely wrong with the motor or wiring.

Hope that helps.
