Has anyone out there installed the Amp Research Power Step Extreme Running Boards. I wondering because I'm curious if there is any issues with the system activating isync with opening/closing of the doors.

Sorry guys this is for 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab with only 29,000 miles. I just dented factory chrome boards. Hit my daughters brick wall along driveway

I've had them installed on a Chevy and gmc before and had factory ones on my F150 and now on my ram limited. The non-oem boards extend and retract faster which I really liked. They are also easier to get individual replacment parts for VS oem. Never had issues with either though but YMMV. If you live where it snows or even rains a lot, you'll want to installed mud flaps, even the smaller oem kind will work, to keep grime and ice off the hinges and boards. Evey other month or so I spray silicone lubricant at the hinges. Silicone doesn't attract dirt like wd40 would and keeps them running smooth.

Clyde10, the AMP boards have a separate controller that is installed under the hood near the battery. You need to run trigger wires into the cab that can be hardwired, or you can get the plug and play. The OBD port is used in this case. They also sell a bypass plug that will not block the OBD port
As stated above, the AMP boards are quicker.
