New member, be gentle.
I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Sport (Canada model) with the power running boards.
They have been a nightmare for a year, and the dealer is not a big help. warranty is over in July, I have the extended comprehensive etc etc
First they just started moving very slow. Took it in, they charged me for a lube maintainence BS, worked for 3 days properly
Then they stopped working all together when the temp got below say 25 F (-5 Canadian). They would either start deploying and go back with a ding on the dash saying there is an obstruction, or not go at all with dash saying they are "unavailable"
Cannot get a straight answer if they are covered by warranty for full replacements?
Second visit they lubed again, same result.
Anyone else can shed some light?
Fixed ones are an option I guess, I saw the cheap replacement motors on ebay, not sure what the actual issue is.
The passenger does the same thing as drivers, and I can tell you that side has been used maybe 5% as much as the drivers, so i don't believe its a lube or wear and tear issue at the heart of my problem
Thanks in advance
