I don't know what it is but I just can't get buzzed about electric/steel guitars.

I will listen to the picking of an acoustic guitar till the cows come home, but electrics just grate on my last nerve....

But I’m the opposite & I’ve played both the majority of my life. Sold a very nice Fender acoustic about 7 years ago & got into 7 & 8 string electric guitars. I grew up on most of the songs listed in the entire thread & can barely stand to hear them anymore. Not sure why. My 6 year old can play the intro to Iron Man by Black Sabbath & is always asking to play that & Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin (which is a song I like by them, even played Stairway to Heaven for my Grandmother while she was in a coma since it was one of her favorites & we had to pull the plug) but almost every time he asks I’m like No. Lol Guess I just want to hear what people are doing different nowadays instead of the same old thing.
