Please help me with this - FCA towing chart shows 1800 lbs vs 1163 lbs on the sticker

So this is my first truck. 2022 RAM 1500 4x4 limited with 33gal tank, ORG and MFT.
The FCA towing chart says the base payload is 1800 lbs for 4x4 crew cab HEMI, but my door sticker says it ONLY has 1163 lbs.

I'm sure those options take a toll on available payload but that's a 637 lbs reduction I'm looking at. Please help me understand where the payload went.

You have a limited with some heavy options. The 33gallon tank, ORG and MFT tale away a lot of payload. The limited itself is heavier than base model trucks as well.

the only line charts are not the rule they are a guesstimate, unless you input your vin then they should match

Not knowing your VIN, I can’t do all the math for you (as I don’t know all of your options). But here’s a document from the 2019 model year that allows you to see how much each option adds to your weight.

Yup, the Limited is just that, 'limited' payload. Options eat up alot of payload capacity.

I'm not far behind with the Longhorn. I think the payload is 13XX lbs.

10th Anniversary? Leather, power everything, reclining rear seats, pano roof, bedliner, tonneau cover, hitch, deluxe speakers & amp, AC inverters (guessing at some of it), adds up pretty fast.

Base payload is just that. The absolute bare bones truck with no options. Cheap seats, no air suspension, 23 gallon tank, no bed options, no pano roof, etc.

A Limited is the exact opposite of that. Standard air suspension, more comfortable (heavier seats), far more options that you mentioned a few of. It goes away very quickly. And guess what? Your body isn't factored into that equation. Weigh 200 pounds? Your payload is now under 1000 pounds. Have another 200 pounds of every day items in the truck? It's under 800 pounds! If you want to haul or tow heavy weight a Limited is not what you should be choosing. Even a 2500 if you still get a higher trim your payload is going to be similar.

The 1800 is for a Tradesman with no options. You are at the opposite end of the spectrum with a heavily equipped truck. Just the the premium audio is something like 25lbs. Running boards are 70lbs, spray in bed liner 30lbs, 20" wheels and tires are ~50lbs... you can see where this is going...

half ton trucks, which is what a 1500 is, were never intended to have much of a payload
