Plastic dipped the grill

Used frog tape and a can of black plastic dip from wal-Mart.

Just needed to reduce the amount of chrome in the front. I think it gives it a better look.

Was cheaper and easier than replacing the grill.

Looks great! I like chrome but I agree that my RAM could do with a tad less. Was tempted to buy the black option, but thought the $ were too much. May copy your tecchnique.
 
You could've bought a Bighorn if you wanted the grill like that lol!

Looks good, but don't be surprised when it starts peeling up after a few rock hits or large bugs. Plastidip doesn't stay adhered to chrome as well as paint.
 
I plastic dipped the entire grill on my 2002 Grand Cherokee that had chrome trim and painted areas. Sold it three years later after Canadian winters and frequent brush car-washes. It never peeled on the chrome or painted sections. Just be sure to clean it well with alcohol prior to application.
