New member coming over from Jeep forum. Currently own a 2017 Grand Cherokee Summit with 35,545 miles. Instead of buying extended warranty, decided on new truck.

I have absolutely no need for a pickup and not telling the wife until I pull into the driveway, just wanted a change at least until the Jeep redesigns I’m two years.

I have decided on a 1500 Limited 5.7L 3.92 in Ivory 3 Coat, black interior, body color number, Ram boxes, spray bed, tri-fold, 22” wheels with Level 1 and pano inside. Negotiated Invoice - holdback - $10k rebate.

I live north of Chicago but will drive to central Indiana as that is the closest with the options I want.

Couple questions: 1. am I dumb for getting a pickup when I really don’t need one? 2. As the dealer is 4hrs way, any items I should check before accepting delivery? 3. Any other advice/suggestions? Thanks

Congrats. IMHO:
1. Get whatever you want unless you truly need something else.
2. Definitely, Search the forum for delivery checklist. There is a great thread that I think @firecadet613 put together.
3. Enjoy it! And check the rear sunroof drains!

Welcome and Congrats!

I have had many vehicles myself, and it is always nice to have a truck (even as a daily driver). That is why I am going back to one here myself :)
