I've found a link to where you can look up payload capacity by VIN for 2025 and older. The tool is:
You replace the end of the link with the VIN you are looking for and it will show a screen that includes the payload information for that VIN.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like it works for 2026's. Would really like to find one for 2026's as I'm trying to find a higher (1500lb+) Laramie with the 3.0L, pano. Dealers are basically useless as they will send you the general payload sheet Ram puts out that says max for the Transman versions. We all know actual payload is lower once you start adding options. Short of actually getting pictures of the sticker off the door of the truck, is there any way to know?
As an FYI, I have gotten payload stickers off two identical builds, 2 VIN numbers apart. The only difference being one shows "steel standard hood", and the steel hooded truck has 48lbs less payload than the one that doesn't mention this on the window sticker.
Also interesting is that the base price was $700 more on the later VIN, and the Larmaie preferred package was $100 more. The lower VIN truck shows a 5yr/60k powertrain, and the higher VIN shows the 10yr/100k. So it would appear that when Ram introduced the new warranty, they also increased the base price by $700, and changed some of the option prices.
