I just bought a 2019 Bighorn and it doesn’t have skid plates, I’m assuming since it isn’t the off road package. Has anyone put these on by themselves and have the parts numbers handy? Or would it just be easier to go to the dealer and have them do it? Thanks.

You did not mention if you have the 2WD or 4WD. There are a couple threads with photos and part numbers on here already.
(Sorry had to edit - I was also looking into someone asking about the 2" leveling kit and guide fat fingered)

I'll use the search function at the top of the page and see if I can locate them and paste a link for you.

Sorry about that, standard suspension with 4wd.

This thread discusses the fuel tank plate:

Morpar Parts Online lists these: (2019 Ram 1500) you can enter your VIN if you wish.

This thread has information and images for locations:

AllMoparParts.com has these (more expensive)

Check your local dealer - sometimes their prices are very good, or you can get a discount/coupon since you purchased a vehicle from them.

Hope that helps.

Installing skid plate is a little bit challenging if you never tried DIY any parts in your car. I suggest you just go to your mechanic so the skid plate would really be placed in the proper part and is sturdy.

I purchased all three skid plates to install on my 2019 Bighorn. The front and transfercase plates came with the mounting hardware but the fuel tank plate did not come with the bolts or a bracket for the rear of the plate (by the rear axle). I have seen trucks with the bracket so I know it exists, but my local dealer didn't have a number for the bracket. Has anyone else bought the fuel tank plate did it come with the bracket or do you have the p/n for it?

My understanding from other threads is that there's three plates, 1 gas tank, 1 transfer case and 1 front suspension. The links you posted show 1 transfer case and 2 front suspension plates from allmoparparts.com?

I see now that one of them is for the 1500 DS not the new DT body. So there's only 3 skis plates, fuel tank, t-case and front suspension?

Nobody has found a skid plate for the gas tank yet.

Sure we did .. it has been posted already ..
and you need to know which tank you have the 26 gal or the 33 gal
there are a few other posts on the subject already.
A new one has recently been created, too, unfortunately, so everyone gets a bit lost ..

Ohhhh, I cant find the part numbers for the 33 gal. Looks like there is a bracket too?

I have the larger fuel tank 33 gal and the part # for the Fuel Tank Skid Plate is listed as 52029964AD. Local dealer has a list price of $424.80. I have seen some online prices in the upper $200. How friendly is this to install? I did the other skid plates without any problems. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

for the fuel tank skid plate youll need some additional brackets and a couple bolts. Did a quick search on the facebook group where I saw this:
skid plate: 52029964ad
bracket: 68303523ab

unsure what the bolt part number is though

edit: I think its 06104390AA for the bolts but not sure how many are needed

found a screenshot of the parts, #18 is the required bracket

I am looking to put on the skid plate for the 26 gallon fuel tank. Will I need to drop the tank to put on the skid plate?
