Yeah, it's just my opinion but the ram would look better with a color matched brow piece above the grill instead of black. I guess you could always wrap it in vinyl.

Yeah, i had a 2012 Tundra that I debadged and plasti-dipped. I was just seeing if using night shade would retain the chrome shine but darken it up.
Exactly what I was trying to go for myself... Go for the "black chrome" look ideally. Options I've looked into is painting it, but then my tint guy told me that black chrome is essentially just a tinted clear over the chrome. So I've got to look into that more possibly. Let me know if you try the night shades or something similar

Yeah luckily I didn't have that to worry about, have the body color matched bumpers. However the rest of the chrome on the brow/grille and sides, I really like to give it that "black chrome" appearance.

Hi, Sorry if I missed the answer, but I'm not sure what you did to de-chrome the bumpers. Is that Plasti-Dip? Also how did you prep it? I've been researching how to get rid of chrome and it's proving difficult. Looks GREAT by the way!

The only prep needed for plasti-dip is a clean oil free surface. No sanding or roughing up is necessary.

I’m looking at Patriot blue but would accept the delmonico red. My Riverside Blue X6 has all chrome pieces blacked out and it looks great!

Here is my Patriot Blue before & after. Instead of Plastidip, I used OEM blacked out emblems. You’re gonna love the blacked out look on yours! Also got rid of the OWL white lettering after blackout. The only non blackout thing I did was put red overlay stickers on the HEMI 5.7L part of the 1500 badges, as well as gray BTS wheels. I like the color combos!

Great job to the OP, your truck looks awesome. And good luck to those of you pursuing the blackout, totally changes the truck.

Mine was a vinyl wrap on the bumpers, wheels are wheelskins or hubcaps for rims, the others are plastidip

I getting ready to dechrome my Patriot blue 1500, thinking of Bullet liner on the chrome bumpers and grill. Has any one done this.
I’ve looked into wrapping ($1000 quote) and paint shop didn’t sound to enthusiastic about painting the chrome.
Bullet liner looking to be about $650.
Dip looks good but I really want something I don’t have to deal with later.
