All manufactures will have some oranage peel unless it's a hand painted exotic. A slightly textured surface will be more durable and provide better scratch resistance for your every day driven vehicles. Of coarse to much orange peel will look bad so manufacturers measure and monitor orange peel with devices such as a Orange Peel Meter Wave Scans which are robotic systems for automated appearance control.

After looking at mine for the last week, it isn't nearly as flat as my previous F150. A clay bar and polish I don't think will get it to what my F150 was. It'll take wet sanding and I don't think there's much clearcoat that can be removed on these trucks to get the orange peel out.
