Paint question when replacing front fender

HI,
I have a 2021 Granite Crystal Metallic 1500 Limited. Paint overall is in great shape (like new)
I got broadsided and the front right fender needs to be replaced.
The shop tells me they need to blend the front right door and the hood when painting the new fender.
It seems excessive to me but I am not an expert, that is why I am asking you guys.

Should I have them just replace and paint the new fender?
Or have them do hood and door also like in the estimate?

Let them blend it. That is normal practice.

Had a friend that was a painter tell me silver is the hardest color to match.

If they don't blend there will be noticeable difference in color between hood/door and new fender. Blending is the correct way
