Hi all. I took delivery of my white Laramie night edition a few weeks ago and with crappy weather I haven’t had much of a chance to look at my trucks finish.

Sure enough while washing today I saw this issue on the drivers door.

I’m debating doing nothing because I don’t want to cut into the finish but I have no idea what it is. But I also just dropped a decent amount of coin on this truck.
490 miles on it.

Any ideas?

Looks like something was painted over. I’d reach out to the dealer.

No way I wouldn’t get that fixed. Talk about a crappy patch job.😲

No reason it can’t be repainted and be just as good as new again.

Yeah I’m getting in touch with dealer now. They need to do something with it. I’ve done a lot of bodywork in my life and i can’t fathom what that is. Doesn’t look like rust, Looks like either something is we stuck on the door and got painted over or the edges were damaged?

If that was my truck, I'm getting it fixed. I have used my dealers body shop in the past and have had no issues

I usually don't mess with small paint imperfections, however, that is really bad and I would deal with the headache of having it fixed.

Looks like contamination, the bubbles.
Maybe some waxy substance or oil was on the panel there and caused the paint to react but it looks more than just the bubbles though. There's an area about the size of a small orange that's also discolored.

That’s the reflection of my hand.
