Paint damage due to aggressive setup?

How much long term damage does an aggressive setup cause to the paint by fitting an aggressive setup? By aggressive I mean a 20x10 with just enough offset to fit. I'm guessing this would sit 1.75" proud of OE.

Really in a dilemma, 20x10 looks far better than 20x9 yet I do not need or want a LT tire. Nor do I want to beat the paint up.
