For my birthday my wife wants to give a detailing package for my truck. I received a couple of quotes. There are a lot of different choices and pricing. Not sure which way to go. Would like some constructive feedback. I am located in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. Here are the quotes:

Honestly, I wouldn't do any of those. I would put that money into doing PPF on areas prone to rock chips. It being 9H doesn't mean it'll stop a rock from chipping paint and neither will PPF BUT ppf doesn't stand a MUCH higher chance of protecting the paint. You can do a ceramic yourself and it's applied over the PPF.

I understand it's a gift but use that money wisely. This is all my opinion and how I would approach it.

After doing ceramic, I don’t think I’d do it again. It still gets fine scratches, but you can’t buff them out without removing the ceramic.

PPF is gonna be way more beneficial then just a stand alone ceramic coating. I recommend a coating after PPF is applied rather if thats also done professionally or as a DiY’er. Keep in mind paint correction is often needed before both.
