Has anyone had a P2D2D Code turn their check engine light on two weeks after the dealership installed the high pressure fuel pump, and software update recalls? Additionally, my electronic start stopped working a few days ago. I am pretty sure the software update is causing the electronic start not to work, because I checked all the other basic things. But the P2D2D Code worries me because my truck is out of warranty.

What year and how many miles are on the truck? Any check engine light will prevent the remote start from working, usually the vehicle will fire up and then shut down after about 5-10 seconds of running. Does the truck crank when you try to remote start it, or does it do nothing at all?

Depending on how many miles the truck has on it, your intake may be carboned up. That could be causing the P2D2D.

I have a similar issue and from my research its seems common for the swirl valves on the intake manifold to become stuck due to carbon build up. I've seen some as low as ~60k miles but most seem to be north of 100k. I'm at 126k now and my new manifold showed up this past Saturday. I plan to replace it this upcoming weekend.....looks like a big task. I found a manifold for just under $700 shipped and the average estimate I was getting from dealers/mechanics was ~$1200ish in my area for labor for reference.

The software update and fuel pump work likely had nothing to do with this, but there's always a chance I suppose. Like mentioned above, remote start wont work if you have an active check engine light.
