What is the hole between the dome light on and off buttons? It looks like a switch should be there, but it’s just a rectangular hole.

There is a light in there that illuminates the center console. There is a dial near the headlights that adjust brightness for it. I believe it’s the left one, and the right dial is for dash illumination adjustment. Turn your headlights on and you will see it.

It may have been turned off by the dial.

If you cover it at night you'll notice just how much it actually lights up.

It's an unobtrusive downlight...and I like it.
