Thanks, looks like you have air suspension (guess I should of looked at your signature - my bad) thanks.
Lift, Tires, etc????I installed the Leer 100R. Pretty good fit except I get a little rubbing on the door and tailgate. I would recommend upgrading to the 100XR to solve that problem (nicer back door).View attachment 48926View attachment 48926
Lift, Tires, etc????
[/QUOTE
All specs are in my signature line but the lift is BDS 6” w/ BDS UCA’s, rims are Fuel Vectors 18 x 9 and tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler 12.5 x 35. BDS is the only lift I found that allowed 18” wheels (v 20”). I wanted more sidewall on the 35’s which is why I went 18”.Lift, Tires, etc????
Hey 2Tacos, like it. How's it holding up? Will it withstand 75 mph highway speeds. Brand and site purchased from. Please let me know. Looks like an awesome solution for my needs.Well, I wanted to try a different route this time and so I bought a Softopper this week because they had a sale. I’ve only had it on for today so I will report back with more pictures and updates. I plan to run my tonneau most of the time and use this for camping or trips with the dog.
$729 shipped.
that looks great, unrelated what are the tires on your truck, I know are the stock 18" but the tires look like 33"s, if they are, stock suspension ? any rubbing of sorts, thanks dude!I went with the leer 100XR, added the headliner and the removable back window... cost $2500 out the door. The rear hatch unlocks with the truck fob.
I’m very happy with it so far. Had a Leer on my last truck (Tundra), the paint outlasted the paint on the truck.
The bed of the 5th Gen is taller than the 4th Gen. A 4th Gen cap can be installed but the top of the cap will be higher than the cab of the truck. It will look “off” because the belt line of the 5th Gen is higher than the belt line of the 4th Gen. Box dimension between gens are the same so you could do it but you may not like the esthetics once installed - especially when looking at it from the front of the truck as you will see the cap (and the carve out for the CHMSL) stick up above the cab of the truck.Does anyone have a pic of a 4th gen cap fitted to a 5th gen ? Some good deals floating around on the older style caps just wondering what it looks like?
Yeah my last one was an ARE that cost $2400 for an F150. After that I said “enough”. I just looked up the ARE dealers around Raleigh and their online ‘build your cap” tool doesn’t even list a RAM for 2019. ???Fiberglass canopies are too expensive these days. $3000 ?! No thanks. I paid $1800 for a 8’ leer canopy in 2008.
I’m planning on getting a softopper(~$800) if I don’t owe Uncle Sam too much in taxes this year.
Installed today. Quality is better than my last one and is a perfect in very way.I just put a deposit down on a Leer 100R with the free carpet upgrade on the ceiling, sliding glass rear window, sliders, etc., for $2024 installed including tax. It is supposed to arrive in mid-January. This will be the second Leer 100R I’ve owned thus I wanted to stick with something I know to be quality and durable.
Have never had a problem with my Leer toppers...Raider brand leaks like a sieve but my Leers have been rock solid. No issues including rust. That’s a good price. I had a 100r on my 3rd gen 2500. Did you ever have corrosion issues on your window frames? I was a bit shocked that I had that happen considering I don’t live in a corrosive environment.
Thanks for posting the interior shots...now I can see how the sliding windows work on that shell...just made my mind up for when I pull the trigger!Got my LEER 100XQ installed today along with a BedRug. Not a huge fan of toppers, but had to get one in order to haul my drums around. I'm extremely happy with how it turned out..love it actually.
Now I clearly need to do something in the tire department.
