You and a lot of other folks!! LOL!! In 2004 I put down a 2K deposit on a pontoon boat....month later filed for a divorce, boat was in production but not built yet. I pleaded with the dealer to refund the deposit to no avail. I dropped it because I simply breached our contract by choosing not to take delivery. If they had built it wrong I would have gotten the deposit back or fought like hell!!
My view is that a deposit seals the deal and pricing to me will not change. Most local dealers wanted a non refundable deposit and would not give a firm purchase price. Now that I vehemently disagree with and would not even entertain ordering from any of those dealers!
