Ordered a full set of Morimoto LEDs - installed pics added 11/4/22

I haven’t modded the truck in a while. I haven’t been happy with the light output from the factory halogens so I took the plunge and ordered the headlights, fogs, tails and license plate lights from Morimoto yesterday. They seem to work fast as everything but the heads and tails shipped already. Hopefully the wait isn’t too long. I’m out of town this weekend, so the soonest I could install is the following weekend anyway.

I’ll post before and after pics once I get them installed.

I received the fogs and license plate lights today. The heads and tails will come tomorrow. Even though I’m driving to Florida on Saturday, I might try to install the lights tomorrow when I get home from work.

Got off work early and installed everything but the license plate lights, one didn’t work.

It’s been an expensive week with the light and tonneau cover. I have the undercover storage boxes and weathertech mats on the way. I gotta stop for a while to get caught-up

What happens if you use uconnect to turn off daytime running lights? Does the led strip say on but the other light goes out?

It’s funny you mention that. I had to ask Morimoto about it. With the daytime running lights selected in Uconnect, the led strip, 4 light thing and led projector are on (basically all lights on). If you turn off the DRL in uconnect, the led projector turns off but the strip and 4 light thing stay on. See included pic. Also interesting to note is that I had to take it in for service after I installed the lights and the service advisor installed the OBD module and used his tablet to do a full light check (I think he was expecting some things to not work correctly when he saw the after market lights) but he was able to cycle all the lights individually with his tablet and sounded surprised when he reported the lights all check good.
