Got myself a 2015 Ram 2500 to allow my 99 to undergo treatment for the cancer.

6.4l Hemi Crew Cab longbed.

This will be my do all truck allowing me to take my time deciding on a 4.5 or 5th Gen HD/Powerwagon.

I got a great deal and hope it serves me as well as the 99 it is taking the place of. 20190226_082334.jpg

I will have to go tothe top of the mountain and get a white cloud in the back ground.

Definitely a lot of smiles per gallon in this thing.

Dang it looks good!! Add a set of 20" chrome wheels with some 35" A/Ts and it will be SEXY!

It looks already leveled up on the front

I was thinking the same thing about it looking leveled in the pic, but when I looked back at it at the gas pump, it definitely has a rake to it.

Compared to our 2013 SLT we had...this Tradesman is so much more comfortable and maneuverable, yes this land yacht is a dream to drive.

I really forgot how "ancient" my 99 was til our weekend trip we just took...I sure better not test drive a 19, just yet.

So, tonight is the maiden voyage. VERY anxious to see just how well the 392 HEMI auto does compared to the 488 MAGNUM and 5 spd manual.

Almost camping season!

I guess I didnt report back here, I did in the other thread and the other site.

Well, very pleased. I miss a clutch and a stick out the floor. Otherwise the 392 is very much like the V10 powerwise...except the V10 comes on lower like a Diesel and the HEMI has to spin a bit more.

Really love the 8 foot bed. It is actually easier to maneuver the camper than was expected. The extra room is great.

The first trip we did I used my weight distribution hitch and it just sat too high.

I got a 7-3/4" drop hitch and just towed my camper without WDH. With the camper level, this time, we headed out. It was a s er relaxing drive.

The first time the automatic shifts caught me by surprise...the V10 always let me do the shifting. This time I was more prepared and was happier with the shifts.

All in all a great towrig, big enough for the family and all our stuff.

Very pleased with our first long trip.

And my MDS isn't working right now as I have the infamous fuel level sensor fail.

I was budgeting 16 MPG...extra money for the vacation lol

Still very pleased with this truck. Had to do Brake pads all around. All 8 brakepads were worn to 3/32. Thought I may have had a bad wheel bearing, but when I changed the pads they both seemed okay.

My son and I did some offroading today

Some poser pics.

This what he loves about this place

Starting out you see the road

And then you don't (he thinks we are flying)

We hit some mud too

And after using 4wd and fording some water, I am positive from the squeak, I will be replacing a wheel bearing this week.
