Yes I know I’ve sold my Laramie that was modded and picked up an Audi. But since I’m not spending any money on that vehicle , I’ve got quite a stash left over. So here are my basic wants and what I will be doing to what I’m labeling my beater Ram.
Tradesman crew cab
4x4 with 33 gallon tank, body colored and lsd. 5.7 Hemi
Things that I will be adding
Oem Sport hood
B.D.S 4” lift
18x10” wheels and tires
Amp research steps
Oem bedstep
Hellwig rear sway bar
Oem led headlights
Then drive that when I am not driving my Audi. If I am missing something, please feel free to suggest things.

May not need to add the BDS kit if I can fit shocks that will allow me to cleanly run 33x12.50 tires in 18” fitment. So then that would also eliminate the need for the Amp research steps.

Well according to my sales guy, it’s cheaper for me to do a BigHorn with all of the deals going on now.

I’d do a big horn with the off-road package and throw bilsteins on it. That would give you plenty of space to stuff 33s in the wheel well without trimming as long as your offset is right. I’d doubt it would make contact using factory back spacing or even with mild wheel spacers

Been there, done that and if I’m going to use this as my runaround the current gearing will be fine. :)

I'm not trying to trash your car purchase, if you're happy that's all that matters.

But for the life of me, I cannot imagine going from a luxury truck down to a cramped tin can with your butt hanging 2 inches off the ground, feeling every twig and crushed ant you happen to run over.

Glad to see your getting another truck too!

Have you considered going v6 this time? It's a beater, right? A nice/simple/light tradesman would probably do OK with a v6 and save you gas money especially in the city. The pentastar is very refined.

Trust me I am no way offended by your thoughts as when you post on a forum you get what you get lol. The reason being is I’m not set on one thing, I’m game for suggestions as those will go a long way in helping me to decide. As far as the car thing, it was a Christmas gift from my wife and I also drive a 10 speed turbocharged Accord that’s inches from the ground I so am sooo used to it. :)

Make sure your big horn doesn’t have the bed utility group...less available aftermarket doodads available for it.

oh, and the Alpine stereo is a must have for me

It really will just be my daily so I don’t need much. I’ll add the stuff as I feel the need.

What audi did you end up with? Loved the 02 S6 avant and new MQB platform.

Bighorn with ORG, 3.92s, 12", pano roof, then might as well get leather, then might as get a limited. Crap. Talked right into a limited again..

It is a 2021 A6 55 Premium Plus with black optics and Executive pkg with S-line. Also just ordered my new wheels for a cost of $3400 to pair up with it.

Well it seems they are giving much better deals on BigHorns then Tradesman unless I go 2500.
