I tried waiting patiently but I'm looking at wheels and have no clue what I'm looking. I understand offsets, some what.... negative is further out and positive is closer in. I'm planning on going 22x10 or 22x12. What offset would I need to keep the wheels flush or slightly aggressive? I'll have 305/45/22 tires.I think those would work ok on a 22x10, but not sure a 22x12. Any edumacation is appreciated!
Thanks!
Side note (my current guess is a -19 would get me where I want to be)

I'm assuming your wheels are 22x9 ET 19.1 which means they extend 95.2mm from the hub.

Do a quick reference on your current wheels to find how far you want your new wheels to extend past your current wheels.

If you want 20mm more, you'll want +12 on a 10" and -37 on a 12".

If you want 30mm more, you'll want +2 on a 10" and -27 on a 12".

12.50 wide tire (comparable to a 315ish so slightly wider than your 305's) on 20x10's with a -25 offset. I look at magazines for the pictures so maybe this helps. For my brand of wheels a -25 offset in a 10" wide wheel and a -51 in a 12" wide wheel have about the same amount of backspace, 4.5". So the amount of wheel/tire tucked in from the hub in doesn't change, but from the hub out changes a hell of a lot. On mine I have 5.5" sticking out from the mounting hub, on a 12" wide -51 you would have 7.5" sticking out from the hub. Hope that isn't totally confusing.

Makes complete sense, I think...maybe. LOL

For me, the offset always screws me up because I like a concave rim. I was able to reach out to custom offset and figured out what I wanted.

Went through a boat load of pictures on their site, and found some fuel rims I really liked. I picked out a couple more then sent an email to them. They called me back on a Saturday to tell me what will fit ( and what am I going to do for a lift).

I decided that I wanted to get 20x9 rims...because I like a flush look. With my 2022 big horn back country, I don't have a fender flares (dont know why. It should) so it might slightly peak out.

The truck rim was easy to pick because I had an idea on the look I wanted even before hand.

My charger rims, was a pain and it took me months to figure it out. I was also running a staggard set.

Picking out wheels for my Charger back in the day sucked. LOL
Offset always confuses the hell out of me too. I like a concave look as well, flush to maybe slightly sticking out (like an inch or less), it'll be leveled, and want to stick to a 22" rim. So I have an idea of what I'd like, just figuring out the rest of the mess. It'll probably be an email to Customoffsets to see.

Get ready to be harassed by them every day about your recent request...lol.

After talking to them and getting suggestions, I decided to order the same rims somewhere else, but for a little cheaper. I also only bought 2 rims at a time...just to space out the credit card hit, and I can pay some of it down at the same time.

The 2 rims I ordered will be in by Friday, then next 2 week, I will order another set of rims. Then I'm going to wait until maybe the holidays to see if there are any tire specials.

Custom offset is great with response and suggestions but then they would want you to buy the whole thing all in one shot. I don't have $3k to drop on tires/rims right now...especially since I don't have a truck yet...lol.

I just bought my tires and trying to not buy wheels right away but very difficult. LOL I like the 2 at a time approach

I'm just doing that because it saves me time, and i can pay it down before I get another set.

It's not like when we get our truck, it won't have rim/tires already...lol.

I haven't decided what I want to do with the stock 18" rims that comes with the back country package. I might just keep them for off road travels, and the new rims for just cruising and meets.

For my charger, I have a set of summer rims, then winter with the salted roads Here in NJ, I go back to stock rims. I might to the same with the ram.

I like the 2 at a time for the same reason, not dropping a huge chunk at once and can pay them off a bit. I just got the toyo AT3's and the plan is to put those on the stock wheels and use those for winter use and then get a street tire for the new wheels and summer use.

Great tires. Had them on my 2020 laramie on stock 20" tires before trading them in. Great for offroad use...just a little road noise on them. I think this time, I'm going to see how the stock falcon wild peak tires to see if they are a little more quieter.

I have the falcon wild peak at's on mine. 275/55r20 They are quite. The only time i hear them is when I first start to roll when the radio is off and the window is down before the wind drowns them out. :)
