Official flame red thread

Thought I would throw my 2020 flame red Ram Bighorn into the mix. To date I have added an Alpine amp to drive a pair of JL Audio 10” subs in an enclosure that fits perfectly under the rear seat. I also replaced the 6 stock speakers with Infinity 3 ways in the doors and coaxes in the upper dash. I leveled the truck with the Rough Country 2” front leveling struts to remove the factory rake and replaced the tires with BF Goodrich TA KO2 275 R60 20s, I didn’t want to go with too large a tire, just something to fill the wheel well a little more, these did the trick for me.

Very nice truck. This "flame red" color sure turns heads out there.

Went from F8 green to Flame Red on my way to trying all the colors.

I'm looking at a 2021 used flame red laramie. I really like the truck and have warmed up to the bright red, but I'm not an attention seeker. I'm a 49yo modest, semi laid back guy that would ordinarily go with grey or darker red. Just for fun when you look online and see what personality type they say you are based on the color of your vehicle, they say bright red tend to be aggressive, extroverted, "look at me", type A personality. I'm competely the opposite to most of these. I'd say I'm in between an introvert and extrovert, not aggressive. Did anyone of you consider these things when you went with flame red? Did you even care? Part of me thinks who cares what others think, but then I circle back to thinking I should just get a delmonico red even though I wasn't that impressed by the color.

I'm 47 years old, and I just love bright red, it really makes anything vibrant. My mountain bike, motorcycle, RC cars, whatever I can get in red usually is my preference.

A bright red truck is eye catching, but it isn't extroverted in a "look at me" sort of way, because there are many bright red vehicles on the road. Yellow sure, but not red, even the bright "Ferrari" type of red that RAM uses.

I've owned many vehicles in my lifetime including some pretty fancy cars. No vehicle I've owned has gotten more positive attention and comments than my red Rebel. From little kids to old people always have something nice to say about it.

Another cool thing about red is it looks clean, even when it's dirty. I thought silver was the best color dirty, but red is even better a hiding dirt between car washes. which is great, because I only hand wash my truck and it's a pain to do it, since I'm lazy I don't do it often.

I’m 59 and drive a Flame Red ram. I owned a 1994 Poppy Red Ram 1500 with the 318 until some fool ran into me head on which totaled the truck but I walked away without a scratch. I’ve owned numerous Rams since then but always wanted to get back into a red Ram. Love the color and it doesn’t draw near the attention of a Spitfire Orange Ram. 😉
