Took the BTS off road today at the beach. Happy to say she freaking crushed it! Such a blast to drive on the dunes.

I just picked up a BTS last week in MN. I had been my list narrowed down to several Laramie's but then I found this one that had almost everything I had been looking for plus some. It has been interesting reading through this thread, so I thought I share here. This is our 1st truck, and overall I am really happy with the purchase. We had test driven a few locally, but I just bought this one sight unseen because they were 3 hours away. I only have a couple disappointments, which I might have discovered ahead if I did more research here prior. But they are minor, and unless you know what to look for, it is understandable how we didn't think about it. The first is that with the BTS off-road components, the 3.92, extra heavy duty shocks, etc, I didn't really think about all the options the payload. Now I know its a newbie mistake, but I focused on that 1750 number and ours is 1234 lbs. We will have to scale back that TT we had our eye on. The 2nd is the MFT, that I didn't realize how limiting it would be. I finally settled on one of the few covers that will work without removing the factory braces. I do have a question that I can't find the answer to anywhere. Can the MFT be removed like a regular tailgate? I am not sure how much extra weight that added. The last disappointment, which I see is shared by others here is with the MPG. I was just expecting better, but on the 3 hour drive back from the dealer I averaged 14. I understand now that fuel economy estimate is some fiction.

MSRP 59,520 - OTD 51,423 Not as good a deal on discounts as I have seen here. But we got 0% for 72months, and nothing down. I had expected to at least have to pay ttl in cash, but was surprised when they got there they had bundled that in as well, so we paid $0 out of pocket. The savings on financing more than offset the rebates we missed. 9943.jpeg

Ok guys, I know this has been talked about a lot, but just wanting to confirm some things before I buy....

I have 3.5 inches of clearance before that darn shark fin hits my garage door frame. If I go Bilstein 5100 in the front and let’s say...run them on #3. I believe that is under a 2 inch lift (Maybe a 1.75 but not sure). So, that plus the ORG 1 inch lift would give me just under 3 inches of lift. And sit almost level.
Am I correct in thinking that?

Would that be enough to clear a fuel contra rim with a negative 19 offset. On a 33x12.5xr22? Maybe a 34x12.5xr22?

Im no Math teacher... just a gym teacher, so numbers are hard for me! LOL

Yes, your truck would have 2.75ish inches of lift in the front compared to a non-orp truck and it would level it out pretty nicely. My Eibachs are set at 1.8".

I can't speak on 22s.

Thank you. I’m going to look into the Eibachs as well. I have seen you speak highly on them before, still loving them?

Anyone running between 1" and 1.5" Bora wheel spacers with stock BTS rims? Curious if the wheels have the relief pockets on the hub side that most other mopar wheels have.

Check out post #865. Might help you out.
Added 3/4" Bora spacer on the front. Sticks out just under 1/4" past fender flares. I can live with that. Probably about as close to flush as I can get without a custom width spacer. Had to trim about 1/4" off the end of factory lugs for the wheels to clear. Will be ordering 1" spacers for the rear and ditching the 1.5" spacers I have now
