it looks like a great system , Rick J , i went to the BMMPR website and watched the videos on how you have to set up the app to receive the notices and it looks like there are a few steps and it does mentions that you need to allow the app access to some of your phones systems ,like the camera and mic ( i know there is a few more ) so i wonder if the makers of those videos actually had it set up properly ;) but thats a good point and i am going to see if i can find some of those videos
i know every system has its downsides but this one does seem to be pretty good.
I have only watched a few videos on the system and how it works but If a professoinal thief really wants your truck and he does get inside doesnt he just have to disconnect the plug and throw it out the window ?
regardless , like bluesurf said it is an added deterrent and i am going to look into getting one.

It really does work. Our built in alarms are useless when the thief pops your glass using a nail and jumps in the window. The thief never opens your door. You will know what happened within seconds. Last night while sleeping I didn't know that we had very heavy thunder and rain. My phone was on silent and I didn't hear it. I got up at about 1:30 am and looked at my phone, it had 6 messages all at the same time from BMMPR. I went to my kitchen at looked out the window and saw water everywhere, this morning I heard about the storm.
I live in a gated community with a high brick wall, recently punks are getting in through the golf club. Neighbors have seen them going from car to car checking for unlocked cars to rob. This is my biggest fear not to catch them. I won't sleep with my phone on silent. I wrote to the man who designed this unit and I asked if the app can have another permission, to override
when our phone is silent. This would be a big deal for many people. It would work the say way one gets an Amber Alert. You can go into settings and turn off the green light. Or turn it on.

Bluesurf, have you tested the BMMPR? I see reviews of it working and then other videos of the "tennis ball" test where nothing happens. It looks awesome if it really works.
Yes it really works. It is the best piece of technology for an auto then I ever saw. I consider myself a Techie for over 40 years. I had the Nokia Mobira in 1986. This was a top shelf cellular bag phone. I always love technology. You get so much info from Bmmpr more than you need. If you open the Bmmpr app and touch the circle Bmmpr icon at the top you will get the Temp in your car, the voltage too. When you walk up to your truck, I wait a few seconds for Bmmpr to say deactivated. Otherwise, you will get several notifications. Even when you start the truck a notification will appear on your phone. Be sure to approve all Bummpr access at the beginning set up. I'm still amazed with this device. I believe once this devices patents run out these will be sold every where. I had at least 15 different Escort Radars from the onset for my cars, then I moved to Valentine one (3) I always sent them back for updates and they still work great. I sent them back on 5/26 they will ship me 3 Gen2's on 6/11. I can't wait to get them. Last week I drove down to the lake for a walk and a Sherriff was in his car hiding beside the pool maintenance building . He rode up to me in the lot. I enplaned why the roll through, since I grew up in NY. He gave me a warning paper since I have no record. I was so pissed, My old Valentine would have told me he was hiding and the day before I sent them all back. I really being carful. No regrets on the Bmmpr. You get 30 days to return it. You can't go wrong.

Thanks for the info on the BMMPR device bluesurf , mine came today and like you i am very satisfied (y)
I have been corresponding with with some ideas. They will be making upgrades in the near future. You will have those sliders in the app to turn off some of the too many different type of alarms. Also they can Bluetooth to a chirp/siren under your hood. My Viper sends out a warning chirp. I like it whenever the lawn service shows in my community the rider mowers get close and my truck flashes and chirps like crazy. Its a warning to stay away. If the riding mowers stay close the full Viper goes off. Of course Bmmpr on my phone too. I think Bmmpr will grow very soon and auto manufactures may want to license this product. It puts to shame a factory installed alarm.
