Noticed this odd shutter in the rear of the truck. Seems to happen if the truck is cold or hasn’t moved in over 8 hours. I back straight out of my garage and don’t notice it. As soon as I back and turn into the street I notice it. My FWD track car has a clutch style LSD and it feels a bit like that or if the brakes were hanging up. Truck has 15k miles on it so no services due beyond the oil changes that have been done.

Any thoughts? Could it be the diff?

Does kinda sound like a limited slip issue. Is your road fairly level? No overly aggressive incline or decline backing onto the road?

There is a decline out of my garage to the street but it’s only a couple feet in drop at most. Only feel it as I start to turn during my backing maneuver to square up in the street.

Maybe its time to change the fluid in your rear diff with some new friction modifier?
If it is your rear brakes dragging a bit, that makes sense to me as well.
