Anyone know which OBD tool or software would be able to interface with a newer Mercedes? My OBD tool (which works fine on my Ram) simply says waiting for software and a message on the dash that referencees the manual, which states something to the effect of do not connect anything to the OBD port and to go to the dealership

I wonder if it is encrypted like the new 2025+ Rams. If so, there's nothing you can do unless someone has busted the encryption. They haven't yet on the Ram.

iCarsoft MB

Send them an email to make sure they support your exact model.

I've had good luck with iCarsoft MB.

That was my fear

I'll look into iCarsoft, think I remember seeing that or something similar skimming some forums

Try using the MB Star C4 or C5. They're pretty reliable for newer Mercedes models. If you’re into software, you might want to check out Xentry or DAS, as they’re designed specifically for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Just last week my wife took delivery on a 2025 MB GLE350.

That night I was moving the stuff I keep in her spare tire well into her new car, a small selection of tools, jumper cables, etc.

While I was back there I wondered what was behind the little 5” x 9” door on the right rear wall in the cargo area?

When I opened the door it was a remote fuse box and attached was a OBD plug….your milage may very.

Alright, we will try Xentry.
