Apparently, some members don't know what a meme is, or what constitutes a "funny pic."

Yes, the staff that has been chosen to moderate these forums gets to decide.

It's not listing facts (really, we don't care about that in this thread) , or your laundry list of grievances with a party or political figure on a background image. You want to do that go to X or Parlor or Facebook or Reddit or whatever social media account makes you feel the most worthless and depressed.

If any member persists posting unacceptable material and receives multiple warnings and/or post deletes for violating the rules and spirit of this thread, they will receive a thread ban and not be allowed to post. This has nothing to do with which way you lean, both sides as I've observed are guilty, it's about following the thread rules.

If members continue to treat this as a personal war room to hurl insults at each other, you may see unilateral bans, forced ignores, or we may just shut the whole thing down and completely ban all political discourse on the site. This is a private TRUCK site, and you have no constitutional right of free speech here. That's not how it works. We're trying to provide a single avenue of expression to keep it off the rest of the site, and IMHO lessen the burden on the staff to police, but if it's abused or becomes more trouble than it's worth, it will be shut down.

This is not the first time the thread has been put on pause to allow members to read the rules and reflect on their participation, but it will be the last.
