I am going to be installing an audiocontrol dq-61 into a 2019 8.4 uconnect nonamplified base stereo system. Adding a 4 channel and sub amp. My main question is do i need to wire in some sort of resistor to mimic speaker load since i am cutting the factory wires and putting a dsp inline? Does the uconnect not turn on or fault out if it doesnt sense a soeaker load on the outputs? Thanks for any advice yall can give.

You need to present a load to your head unit. Your Loc or dsp will either need to have that feature built in or you will have to wire some 5W 47ohm resistors in-line. I’m not familiar with the audio control unit so I can’t say if it does or not. I also recommend the Pac APH-CH01 harness which will make your life much easier with wiring
