Good day to everyone... So in the past when we were looking to do a group buy on a product from Z-Automotive you needed a list of 10 confirmed people to buy it at a discount.

The New NoLimitz product from Z-Automotive looks like a great product! SO many great features.. I'm wondering if anyone. Here is some information about the product.

***We have approval from Z-automotive! Please PM me your information and ill add your user name to the list. once we have a confirmed 10, we can order. WE MUST GET AT LEAST 10, if not more (if we get more like 20, I'll ask for a better discount. lol Don't hold your breath. haha)***

No Limitz DT is a breakthrough design to allow full output and security without any permanent modifications

• Disables factory speed limiter (stay within limits of your tire rating)
• Disables torque management system/traction control
• Disables MDS system on MDS equipped motors
• Completely blocks access to the RF Hub so new keys cannot be programmed
• Speed limiter/MDS/Torque Management functions can be turned on and off at any time
• Simple plug and play installation
• Silently overrides speed limiters and torque management
• No permanent modifications
• Nothing in the vehicle gets reprogrammed
• Cannot be detected by dealer tools

Finally, a way to override the speed limiter without unlocking the PCM and voiding the warranty! This little device leaves the PCM alone, so no warranty issues, no dreaded P1400 code.

Also prevents the most common method of auto theft on Stellantis vehicles, which is key programming.

NOTE: This unit is for RAM DT equipped with the 12 inch Uconnect radios. If you have a DT with the smaller radio, purchase the NoLimitz JL (use NoLimitz DT instructions).

As you see there is a caveat to the above unit. You must have the 12" unit. This group buy would be for this unit. How ever, those who have the 8.4 can use the NoLimoitz JL unit.. It does tie into the harness behind the radio. So if you have upgraded to the 12" your good to use this unit. This is my first post I've ever done like this. So I apologize if I'm doing this wrong. I saw other group buys listed in this thread. figure I would post and see what happens. After building the list, I think we present to Z-automotive. Reach out to Z-Automotive and see if they are willing to do a group discount on the product. If so, then solicite for people to join the group buy. I'd be in for one personally. I tried to do a group buy for the TazerDT a few years ago, and while I got over 10 people who sent me email addresses to join the group buy, never got 10 to actually commit to buying when the time came.

I am interested on the new NoLimitz setup for the RAM truck and I have a couple of questions.

I have the small screen in my truck, so I would need the JL version, correct?

Does this device need any kind of an update when received or will it ever need any updating? (I don't own a real computer)

Does this setup smooth out the throttle response similar to something like a Pedal Monster???

Hi Clif,
1) yes, for the smaller screen you would purchase the No Limitz JL but use the No Limitz DT user manual below.
2) It doesn't smooth out throttle response yet but does disable torque management system and mds and traction control.

And good questions to ask them. Small screen will need the JL unit. They are ready to use, but like any unit I’m sure updates and new features will be coming. It’s not going to affect the pedal too much, but the torque response will be improved. So there for you might find it more responsive. It’s not going to act like a pedal master. You won’t have different sensitivity levels. This will also block the wires less gateway access so people won’t be able to clone your key and take over the vehicle. Also removing the 103mpj speed limiter.

Let’s see what they say. I’ll make some room above for the list of people.

Hmmm looks like a great item, and disabling the MDS would be tremendous ,but, unfortunately after reading the installation instructions, it seems you need to modify some harness connectors for use on years 2022+ , which I don't think I would be prepared to do. Shame cos I really like the Tazer I have on my Jeep................

Read the instructions for it. You just have to trim one of the positioned tabs off a connector to allow it to slide into the factory connector

Yes I read them, and saw that, but you also have to do the same to the factory connector, OR totally cut the top off the female connector on the device, which means it would probably be unsellable if I sold the Ram.......... either way not totally comfortable. They make one for smaller screens, why not make one with the correct plugs for 2022 and up ?

Because the modification they are talking about no one would ever know. And you’ll be able to fit the connection back if removed. The key way they talk about trimming is just tabs on the bottom so you don’t mistakenly plug it into something else (We’ve been doing this on any vehicle that has the 12” upgrade screen). Being nothing fits that plug in this area, it would be very hard to do so. I understand what you’re saying, but I feel if you saw and understood then you would also understand it won’t hurt resell. By all means stick with what you feel comfortable with.

As far as people looking to do this. PM me and I’ll add a list to my first post with the names and slots open. That work?

For those worried about the harness. look at the images. You'll see the keyway you need to trim. This wont hurt anything. Also if you choose not to cut this, you can buy extensions that will allow you to accomplish this, and gain the features.. Disable MDS... I mean.. That sounds amazing. Sick of hitting my manual gear select, or limiter. Also torque on demand and no governer makes me happy. Updating the unit like the Tazer you'll prob have to gain access.

Someone mentioned on another forum about the possibility of a idle rpm adjust parameter. That would allow you to rise the idle up a few 100 RPM. I was told this helps the oil get to the cam journals. Fact or fiction.. What say you?

K, I get it is just trimming a plug, but the options of Trim my factory male connector, or basically butcher the female connector on the harness, is not something I am prepared to do. Like I say, it's a shame, because I really like their other products, and love the Tazer in my Jeep. Now if it would also disable the start/stop on an E-torque, I may be persuaded to take the side cuts to the harness.........
Anyway good luck with the group buy...I didn't mean to derail the original thread...............

This post is about the product and knowledge. I truly feel your over thinking what needs to be addressed to overcome this. As I also stated above, they make a jumper harness so you don’t need to cut the tabs if you wish not to do. Just so you understand.. by trimming the tab with a razor knife.. again the tiny key way tab… this will not stop the harness from going back into your factory radio if you were to remove the part for resale. It won’t even hurt how secure the harness sits in the radio.

I’ve been focused on automobile electronics since I was 13. Im in my 40’s now. I went to school for this many times. I would not steer you wrong. It’s also what I do for a living.

If you truly want it, the photo post above show a small jumper. If you buy that, you won’t have to trim anything related on your vehicle. They would go between the unit and connection securely. So that is a sure fire way around having to take knife to key.

By all means… feel free to ask, question, learn about the product! I want people to have concerns and questions. It’s the only way we learn. It also helps other people see and understand what they need to do, and ways to safely get around potential things that one might not want to do, have a regret about, and still wishes to have the product. Matter of fact, I might even add the information about the jumpers above to help people understand, and learn for all the 22 and above vehicles.

All good buddy. What we are here to do. Some people get upset.. not me. Long as we stay on topic and not talk politics. (Our country is doomed lol) So let’s have a good time.

ZAUTO IS WORKING ON NEW FIRMWARE FOR THE 22 AND UP THAT WANT TO REMOTE START FROM APP/REMOTE (CANT REMEMBER WHATS NOT WORKING) BUT THEY KNOW OF THE BUG, AND ARE WORKING IT OUT. THESE UNITS WILL HAVE UPDATES LIKE THE TAZER FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND.
