Nitto Terra Grappler G3

Wow. I thought I was on top of things. I didn't know they were still making them. I don't know anyone who is currently running them but they were the thing before they came out with the Ridge Grapplers. They ought to be GTG.

g3's are fairly new. g2's are the old ones

I'm looking at getting a set in 275 60r20. Anyone running them? Opinions please.
Have about 2k miles on these in a 275/70/18 standard (non LT) load rating on TRX wheels on my 21 Laramie.

Pro(s): Light, 3peak rated, look aggressive, great dry and wet grip, no complaints on gravel roads. Balance well - 2 wheels took little or no weights. One of the few non-LT 33s on the market and made in the USA.

Meh(s): Still pricey cause they’re new, little jittery esp when running hot in the higher psi range, low drone tone at speed.

No real cons. I’m pretty sensitive to sound and ride quality. If you’re coming from a street tire just know there will be tire noise going to an AT tire.

Before this had Toyo Open Country AT3 LTs on 22s and also think that’s a great tire but has some roar coming up to speed.

Have had BFG KO2s and Goodyear Wranglers on previous trucks and they had 0 wet grip compared to these.

Protip: Buy a cheap/used tire and throw it on the spare if you’re sizing up.

I had the 35x12.50x20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's on my old Tundra from 2015 to 2019 and racked up 99k miles on them. Keeping them rotated and the right air pressure got more miles out of them than I expected. I tried to buy another set two years ago and they were discontinued, so I bought the trail grapplers. I was happy to see the G3's were released a few months ago.

I was looking at these as well. Tire rack testing showed them to be very solid...until they published their winter findings. Definitely put a damper on my excitement for them since winter performance is high on the list of wants for me
