I keep going back and forth between a 275/60-20 and 305/55-20 partly tire cost and partly MPG. Even though the P rated 305/55 are lighter than the LTs they are still 8-10 lbs heavier than a p rated 275/60. What kind of impact did the 305's have on your MPG?
I was doing the same thing and for the same reasons. I went with 275/60R20 Nitto ridge grapplers. I think12” wide tire on the stock rim offset would be to much. I was so nervous the 275/60s wouldn’t be enough of a change and would look more the same as the stock tires but luckily I was very wrong! The more aggressive tread pattern and extra inch in height made all the difference and the ride did change slightly and the cab isn’t wispher quiet anymore. It isn’t bad by any means but I’m glad I didn’t get a bigger tire. I’ll post some pics later

It’s stock height. I think it would look even better if it was leveled though. Not the greatest pics but here’s a few.

305/55/20 with stock wheels and suspension. Look great, ride nice and surprisingly little road noise.

Are you using any wheel spacers on those stock rims? The reason I ask is because I have the 295/55 r20 Ridge Grapplers on mine and there is only about 1/4” clearance between the inside tread and the upper control arm. I just knew that the 305 would rub.

3.5 ready lift. I did add Bora 1 1/2 front and 1” rear spacers after a couple of weeks to get them out even with the flares. No rub either way. The tires only had 1/4” space to control arm before the spacers.
Did you have to cut the wheel studs to put on either the 1-1/2" or 1" spacers?

Did not have to touch the studs with the 1 1/2 spacer. The rear 1" spacer required a very small amount of grinding at the end of the shank of the stud. I am talking the thickness of duct tape or so. When I test fit the wheels I put masking tape in the holes on the back of the wheel. The stud would just barely put a mark on the tape when tightened down. I wanted to be sure that the wheel was perfectly flat against the spacer when tightened. Make sure that if you go the spacer route to check the torque on the spacer lugs after 10 miles or so. I checked again at 100 miles just to be safe. Will not have to touch them again now.

I only had 100 miles on the truck prior to changing the tires. I am only averaging 14.3 MPG with 1700 miles on it now. I am hoping it gets better with more miles. My 2016 Sport with the same tires but in LT I was averaging 17 MPG

What I must keep reminding myself is that my overall average MPG is just a number. It is skewed every time I remote start my truck to warm it up, sit in the driveway to finish a call before going inside, sit In North Dallas traffic, etc.

I average around 17.3 on the highway (after calculating the additional 3% for speedometer error with taller tires) and that’s good enough for me. (y)

I just got 275/60/20 installed yesterday. Didn't want too go too big, just wanted some better tires than the stock Duelers. Also changed my rims too.
I know its a late reply, but how is the ride with those ridge grapplers?
