as the title reads, what is everyones thoughts and why? both got rated great. Nittos seem to be a couple hundred less for the total package.

I have nittos and in the rain they dont perform as great as I would like them to. Ill probably go with toyo AT 3's next.

Nittos definitely look nice, but not that great in wet/snow (speaking from personal experience). I'm running KO2s now.

Nitto Ridge Grappler. Haven't had snow yet since buying the truck or adding the tires. From what I read, Nittos are a superior tire. 305/45/R22 with Revel links on front only.

I have close to 60K on my nitto ridge grapplers, and like z0n3 stated, they are not the best in rain but perfectly manageable. They are super quiet & smooth ( almost same stock tires) on road. They have kept me confident in snow ( up to 6"). I have not had any experience with K02s so my input here is strictly nitto bias

I ran the KO2s on my '11 and my 13' They are excellent in the snow. Many years of Michigan winters.

Really liking my General Grabber ATx so far. Took it out in the snow the other night and they performed very well. They’re also very smooth and fairly quiet on dry pavement and they look awesome.

Had KO2s on Jeeps and 2 different Rams. If you're concerned about snow traction you won't be with the KO2s. I haven't had Nitto's but I will say also the Rebel Duratrac tires did very well in snow also. But the KO2 tire is much quieter.

How does the 3.21 gears handle the 275/65 tire? Any issues with gear hunting or feel like there was a big loss of acceleration?

No problem. I don’t notice any difference at all. I did cal the speedo with the Rough Country which supposedly changes the shift points. Gas mileage has suffered a little bit though.

I have the Nittos and ran them last winter but recently removed them for this winter and replaced them with Blizzak DM-V2s. I live in the foot hills of the Adirondack Mountains and need real snow tires for ice and deep snow. Nittos were good for everything but snow. They are soft and quiet for a hybrid tire and look awesome and I will put them back on in the spring. Never had KO2s so cannot comment on these. Hope this helps you.

For what it's worth, a lot of sizes of KO2 carry the "snowflake/mountain" extreme snow capability rating. Don't recall the exact term, but literally there is a mountain stamped in the sidewall.

Ridge grappler 275/60/20 XL load. It was raining the day I got them put on and I spun on a few take offs while turning at red lights. No confidence instilling to be honest. There is a slight hum at slower speeds but less noticeable at higher speeds. May get snow today or tomorrow so I will test them out

Went with the Nitto ridge grapplers they were almost 100 dollars cheaper per tire , and the K02s I would have waited another day to get , happy with these though , like previous poster said low hum at low speeds, You really have to shut off radio and listen, otherwise you dont hear them Tire .jpgtire 2.jpg
