Nitto Ridge Grappler difference in weight

Can someone explain to me the difference between LT305/55/20 F vs. 305/55/20? The first weighs 63 lbs the other 51lbs. I understand one is an Light Truck Tire with extra plies. Are there any other differences? Please help

I think you guesed it. A tire shop might be able to give you more info but essentially yeah, more product in the AT tire.

LT is an E load range tire. 10 ply. Other is a passenger tire.
